Who are we?
The Moldovan Institute for Human Rights (IDOM) is an independent, non-profit organization from the Republic of Moldova, which was founded in 2007 by a group of human rights experts. The major aim of IDOM is to contribute to raising awareness, promoting and protecting rights and liberties guaranteed by the national and international legal frameworks.
The mission of the organization is to promote democratic changes and to contribute towards attaining international human rights standards by offering premises and tools for legal and institutional reforms for the well-being of each individual and the society at large.
what do we do?
We capacitate specific groups – providers and beneficiaries of public services – to apply human rights standards in specific areas.
We participate in drafting and assessing human rights policies and legal framework.
We carry out advocacy and information campaigns.
We take human rights violations to national and international courts of law.
